Have no problems streaming content from Now tv, prime video, iplayer etc but Britbox is terrible. Programmes take ages to load and often tells me I’m not connected to internet when I am and programmes freeze and/or crash. Will cancel before next payment goes out. Advice is to up to date app but doesn’t help..

Similar issues to others: it freezes, crashes, is unavailable, doesn’t always have the complete number of series for a programme, so all in all, poor

What a joke!! If I want the best of British TV, I would stick to Netflix alongside the BBC and ITV programmes I have on both DVD and VHS.

As for the native BritBox, it's not worth it to me. With the BBC dropped out from the venture as it's now owned by ITV (the same broadcaster that derived from the concerns of Carlton and Granada after buying out every single regional franchise), it may become ITVX (ITVXTreme, ITVXpress?).

Anyways, avoid ?Box.

Sadly can’t give less than one star. I understand this is now run by ITV - no wonder BBC wanted to drop it. The content is pretty lame and when watching anything it frequently stops and sometimes even freezes. Won’t be continuing when free trial is over.

I joined Britbox via my Amazon Prime account and discovered that over half the content that you get from Britbox direct doesn't show up. Their fix for this is to tell me to go on the Prime search box and type in what I am looking for! Only 8 categories show up on Prime when there are over double that on the Britbox website! How the heck do I know what I'm looking for if I don't know your content? I use Netflix and they show all their content so you can choose! Needless to say subscription is now cancelled and I won't try it again!

Stay away from Brit Box. If you sign up for any of their promo plans and then late in canceling even by an hour, they will charge your credit card and will refuse to refund your payment. I suggest you either use Acorn or some other site for British shows or, sign up for a free plan and cancel the next day. You will still get your weeks worth of watching and the good thing, you can sign up again with a different email address and get another week for free. You can do this as many times as you want.

After cancelling subscription was billed twice for fee,contacted customer service who informed me was unabld to refund me because subscription was via iTunes.Despite showing the proof that the subscription had been cancelled continued to take payments for a service I was not subscribed to!DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!!!not worth the hassle

Worked for a short while. I had a full subscription for a couple of months then noticed it would play an episode then crash and wouldn't play anything else. Kept saying "not connected to the Internet" when all other apps were working fine. Too much messing around to get it working again so cancelled subscription.

Signed for a trial this is absolutely rubbish honestly couldn't find anything to watch films like 50 year old how they can charge for this, wouldn't keep it for free cancel it today and even when trying to watch it kept buffering and I have super fast broadband so not just joke if stuff on there even carnt watch if wanted to

A terrible company with terrible customer service. Kept taking money from my account twice, yet took ages to resolve, programmes never change or updated. Customer service is terrible. In the end I had to cancel payments through my bank and in the end cancelled my subscription as it was utterly ridiculous!! I was reimbursed by my bank who had to deal with them directly!

Britbox took money from my account even though I never authorised them to do so. Unlike any reasonable company who would look into the matter, offer an apology and then a refund I've had to go via my bank who is conducting an investigation as Britbox say that fraud is nothing to do with them - even though they are the ones benefiting from stealing money from my account. Avoid at all costs

I am unable to cast Britbox via Chromecast this last week. I contacted Britbox and after doing all they suggested they have referred it to their tech department - that was 3 days ago and I've not heard from them since. This app has continual technical issues

Would have kept my subscription but the app isn't available everywhere so you have to cast from your phone...which would be fine if it worked. Casting crashes constantly (if it even works at all), the app itself freezes constantly, the search function is fiddly as owt. I spent more time frustrated with BritBox than I did actually watching anything. Cancelled.

Had issues with the app. Had to restart or reinstall the app before using. After some investigation where they asked me the same questions several times, they sent me to phone manufacturer, phone manufacturer sent me back to britbox, only app I have this problem with is britbox, britbox can't find any solution. No refunds offered despite the issues impacting my use. After 42 emails going both ways, they finally offered to cancel the subscription and refund the month. Other streaming sites offer better content and more reliable. Don't risk wasting your money on britbox
